After ‘Shamitabh’, filmmaker R.Balki is back with his next ambitious project, starring Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan with the fact that Ki and Ka genders don’t matter.”Balki finished the script in July 2015. The film derives its title from linguistic gender divisions of the Hindi language found in the words “ladki” and “ladka” meaning “girl” and “boy”. Arjun and Kareena are playing a married couple in this film. The shooting of this film had started on August 1 and wrapped up in October. It was a three-and-a-half month extensive schedule. It is an intimate movie, as is the case with all other Balki films. Arjun will be seen in an avatar that is strikingly different from all his previous appearances. This is the first time that Arjun and Kareena will be seen romancing each other.The film also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with his wife-actress Jaya Bachchan in cameo roles, playing themselves. While the movie has been creating a lot of buzz on social media for it’s unusual casting and unique story line. ‘Ki and Ka’ is one of the most awaited movies of 2016. The movie is expected to be released on April 1, 2016 in theater.
